Cedar Brown Basmati Natural Rice 907g
Literally translated as "queen of fragrance," basmati has been grown in the Himalayan Foothills of India and Pakistan for thousands of years. Brown Basmati Rice is a thin, long grain that is light beige in color. Brown Basmati retains the outside Bran layer that gives it a higher fiber content and more predominant aroma than White Basmati. Brown Basmati has a rich, nutty flavor and cooks up easily into separate, fluffy grains that have a firm texture. You can substitute Brown Basmati wherever a recipe calls for Brown Rice. Brown Basmati is an excellent choice when a fluffier, drier texture is desired and provides protein and carbohydrates as well as Vitamin B, which aids in digestion. |

Cedar Dry Green Split Peas 907g
Green Split Peas are part of the legume family. Split Peas are husked and split in halves. The Green Split Pea is about 1/4 of an inch wide and pale green in color. Split Peas have a mild flavor and soft texture. The Split Pea has more of an earthy flavor than the whole dried pea, similar to the lentil in versatility and nourishment.
Cedar Dry Mung Beans 907g
Mung Beans are small 1/4 inch, round, olive green, brown or black in color. The inside of a Mung Bean is mustard colored. When husked and split, the green Mung Bean becomes known in India as the Yellow Mung, Moong Dal. Mung Beans are used in a variety of forms; whole, peeled, split, or ground. Mung Beans have a sweet flavor, soft texture, and are easy to digest. These beans are sprouted to produce Bean Sprouts, which contain vitamin C, not found in the dry bean. Mung Beans have a long history in India where they originated though they were introduced to China many centuries ago. Mung Beans are the most common beans to be sprouted in Asia, Europe and America. Mung Bean Flour is used to make Bean Threads or Cellophane Noodles.
